Celebrate Memorial Day!

I hope your weekend and Memorial Day will be relaxing, peaceful, and super enjoyable. Many of us see Memorial Day as an opportunity to relax, go to the beach, work in the yard, gather with friends, or plan a weekend getaway. But at the same time, it’s important that we never lose sight of the day’s significance, honoring the men and women who offered the ultimate sacrifice and died serving our great country. Listen to “Taps” to honor and remember our fallen veterans.

Another great way to remember those who sacrificed so much for our great country is to take a moment to watch or listen to  this awesome video of “TAPS”.  It will give you chills.  Did you know that “Taps,”  the bugle call typically performed at military funerals was actually adapted from a separate Civil War bugle call known as “Scott Tattoo,” which was used to signal lights out. The new melody later became the preferred accompaniment at military funerals as well as the annual Memorial Day wreath ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
